Half-Cut Solar Modules
The so-called half-cell technology increases the energy yield by up to 5 % compared to full cells. For half-cut technology, full cells are halved in production. The solar modules therefore contain twice as many cells, i.e. 144 solar cells, instead of 72 cells, for example. The higher yields result from lower voltage losses compared to full-cell modules. Other advantages are increased tolerance to shading and better heat distribution.
