Kilowatt hour (kWh)

Named after the Scottish inventor and discoverer James Watt, watt is a unit of measurement for power. The watt-hour (Wh) indicates how much energy a device with an output of one watt converts in one hour. More common than the watt-hour is the kilowatt-hour (kWh), which is a thousand times the watt-hour. It is usually used to calculate electricity costs.
