Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG)

The Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) was passed in Germany in 2000. Since then, it has been revised again and again. The law regulates the so-called energy transition. The declared goal is to increase the share of renewable energies in the electricity supply to at least 80 % by 2050. The feed-in tariff is also regulated in the Act.
