Watt

The power of a device is indicated in watts. The unit refers to the amount of energy consumed over a period of time. As a rule, the more watts a device has, the more powerful it is. An example: A normal hairdryer has a power of approx. 2000 watts. This is the maximum power with which the air is heated and transported. How much electricity is actually consumed depends on how long the appliance is used.
