The KD series of Kyocera – Large-format high performance modules
The junction box on the rear is provided with bypass diodes which prevent the overheating risk of individual solar cells (hot spot effect). Several series-connected PV modules may be simply wired by pre-installed solar cables and plugs.

Manufacturer with cutting-edge technology
Kyocera also decisively furthered the developments in solar technology. Seven years after its foundation in 1975, the company had its first series production of polycrystalline silicon solar cells. In addition to its complete module production, Kyocera excels at its special innovations in research and development. This regularly results in novel production methods and procedures and modules with record efficiencies.
Long-lasting performance
The modules” outstanding efficiency over a number of years has been confirmed by several long-term tests and by Stiftung Warentest (the leading German product testing and consumer advocacy organization). As a protection against severest climate conditions, the cells are embedded between a tempered glass cover and EVA film and sealed on the back with PET film. The rugged aluminium frame withstands even high wind and snow loads.

  • Low light reflection of the modules due to the "reactive ion etching" method (RIE) for higher efficiency and optimum area utilization
  • Specified 5-step development process for every module
  • Pairing: Sorting method ensures nominal performance of two paired modules
