Panasonic – Modules with powerful HIT solar cells

HIT solar cell technology
All Panasonic modules are based on HIT solar cells (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layer). They consist of monocrystalline hybrid wafers which are coated with thin, amorphous silicon. Thanks to the state-of-the-art manufacturing process, solar cells can be produced with very high efficiencies and optimum energy returns.
More performance per area
As compared to conventional solar cells of crystalline silicon, HIT cells are convincing with their high energy yield even at high temperatures. Even in bad light conditions, excellent performance is achieved thanks to the anti-reflective glass.
Consistent quality testing
  • Minimal failure rate of below 0.01á% with over 3ámillion delivered modules in Europe
  • Guaranteed durability of the modules by long-term T▄V test
  • Tested resistance against ammonia and salt mist
  • No PID effect
  • Uninterrupted traceability: all modules are measured and provided with an individual bar code
