Flat-roof Installation Sparkasse Hanauerland
The Sparkasse uses the sun as an environmentally friendly and sustainable energy source. Thus the photovoltaic system on the roof of the savings bank in Sundheim saves fourty tons of CO2 over two years and generated 63,000 kWh of power. The main building is heated and cooled by means of geothermal energy (groundwater-based heat pump system). In the first year this resulted in a saving of 417,000 kWh of gas energy. In addition, from 2005 to 2007 the Sparkasse managed 226 customer projects in the Hanauerland with a volume of EUR 15.5 m. The Sparkasse was also able to arrange public subsidies and acted beneficially and with a minimum of red tape for their clients and our environment.
