Solrif
The solar roof integration
Versatile and flexible
Solrif is suited to numerous types of sloping roofs. It can be used to cover a roof completely, resulting in a reduction of the conventional tile covering. Since their market launch in 1999, installations with a total output of several MWp have been erected. This success is guaranteed by the long years of experience and the versatile applicability.
Installation – simple and fast
The modules can be installed simply and quickly – they are based on the same principle as laying roof tiles: The sections interlock horizontally, giving plenty of vertical play. They are held in place by metal stirrups fixed to the roof battens. This configuration allows each Solrif module to be individually removed and replaced. The sections are specially designed to let snow slide off easily and rainwater to run off quickly – so that the solar cells always generate the maximum amount of power.
Aesthetics and optimum operating performance
The Solrif Roof Integration System achieves both a high-quality architectonic photovoltaic installation and an efficient electrical operating performance. The Solrif profiles can be combined with various roofing materials. The low profile height of the frames results in a good rear ventilation of the solar laminates. In 2006 a Solrif installation with 110 kWp on an agricultural building won the Swiss and European Solar Prize, thanks to the superior design and high output.
Tested quality
Already in September 2005, Solrif was awarded the TÜV certificate – after inspection of the manufacturing facilities and review of the order processing – TÜVdotCOM-ID 7095. Since the award of the test mark the TÜV Rheinland carries out regular manufacturing controls. Solrif has furthermore been tested with laminate modules of various manufacturers by the TÜV Rheinland according to IEC 61215 and has passed these tests in accordance with the generally accepted standards.
